Sivrihisar Clock Tower

– THE CLOCK TOWER –

Sivrihisar is famous for its clock tower. The Clock Tower is very old. The Clock Tower was built by Mr. Mahmut in 1900. It ‘s big and very’ interesting.

Clock Tower is located on a hill and it is the symbol of Sivrihisar, It can be seen from everywhere. There is a bell in it. It’s made of brass. It works by winding up it once a month. But recently.

It has been in Sivrihisar for 104 years. Atatürk’s portrait and Turkish flag located at the bottom of the tower. (Before restoration). The Clock Tower’s sound can be heard about 5-6 kilometres away

The Clock Tower, one of the symbols of Sivrihisar, was ordered by, the district governor and the mayor of the time, in 1900. Sivrihisar Clock Tower differs from other structures with its location on the slopes of the mountain instead of the town center.

After illuminating works carried out in 2015, the tower has gained a unique appearance at nights as well.

Sivrihisar saat kulesi ile ünlüdür. Saat Kulesi çok eskidir. Dönemin Kaymakamı tarafından 1900’de yaptırılmıştır. Büyüktür ve ilgi çekicidir.

Saat Kulesi bir tepenin üzerindedir ve Sivrihisar’ın sembolüdür. Her yerden görünebilir. İçinde bir çan vardır. Çan pirinçten yapılmıştır. Ayda bir kere kurularak çalışmaktadır.

Saat Kulesi 104 senedir Sivrihisar’da bulunmaktadır. Restore edilmeden önce kulenin alt kısmında Atatürk’ün resmi ve Türk bayrağı vardı. Saat Kulesinin sesi aşağı yukarı 5-6 kilometre uzaklıktan duyulabilir.

Kule, 2015 yılında yapılan aydınlatma çalışması sonrası geceleri de eşsiz bir görünüm kazandı.
